Details

- The rabbit on the left is wondering about that "bread down from heaven". Who never wondered about that bread which we receive every Sunday, that bread which is in reality the body of Christ, God in our hands, God on our tongues. He's thinking in a human way : some bread, the sky, a slide, ...
- An angel tells him he's misguided and shows him child Christ's crib. That's where he should be looking : Jesus was born in Bethleem (which can be translated by "House of bread")
- Jesus was born of God and Virgin Mary. So he's coming down from Heaven.
- At birth, he was put in a manger, which means he's giving himself as food. Today, this Word comes true : "He's the living bread that came down from heaven"

Questions

- To understand what Jesus says, we must often read and listen to the scriptures. The answer is there. Why go and look somewhere else in such or such private revelation, unheard of.
- God doesn't like scoop. He acts like the continuous flow that polishes a rock.
- Where do I look for answers to my questions ? Do I make them up like this rabbit ?

Details

- The grey rabbit is putting up with the rain (his umbrella is purple, colour of Lent), he's moaning, he's protecting himself
- The blue rabbit thanks God for the rain. He's collecting it in his hands. He's drinking it.
- For the grey rabbit, everything is grey, the sky, the earth ... For the blue rabbit, the sky is blue and the earth is green, despite the fact they're under the same rain.
- The drops of rain are made of the letters of the biblical reference "Jean 3, 16" (John 3, 16) This verse is one ok the reading keys to understand the Bible. The blue rabbit is soaking in it, whereas the grey one doesn't see neither its richnees, nor its reach

Questions

- When hearing this verse, I can take it as a marvellous news : God loves the world so much. The consequence being he gave his only Son.
- We can also hear this verse and stay impenetrable, as if it was slipping over us. To hear this verse and to doubt of the Father's Love. I'm hit by the words of a grandmother, who always used to repeat "But how did he manage, the Father, to give his son to suffering and death. It's awful !" The first part of the verse clearly hadn't hit her. She's focused on the second one. They can't be separated.
- What about me, how do I receive this verse of "John 3, 16" ?

Psalm 103
1 Corinthians 12, 3 - 13
John 20, 19 - 23

Details

- The rabbit on the left is Christ (reminder : we can recognise him thanks to the cross in his halo) He's blowing on his disciples : he's giving them the Holy Spirit. Only Jesus can give a spirit which sanctifies, and that is his.
- Everything is orientated forward (hands, body, ears ...). Christianism is orientated forward.
- The three rabbits taken in the breath represent the course of the one who lives under the action of the Holy Spirit. From grey, the rabbit goes to blue which means he's becoming more and more like God, therefore more and more himself (which may seem contradictory but isn't at all)
- At the beginning, the rabbit taken by the breath of Christ is surprised. He even seems shy because a force is taking him where he had not planned to go to.
- Then he's getting into the breath, laying onto an air cushion. He's reaching cruise speed, extended forward, he's staring at the Bible as his reference, smiling and at peace.
- In the end, he's like on a slide, in joy.

Questions

- If we look carefully at the movement of the three, we can see that the Holy Spirit first attracts to Christ and then he sends on a mission
- To live of the Spirit is to have this continual movement, to come back to the source to be able to spread the Good News in full knowledge of it. How do I live it ?

Ephesians 1, 17 - 23
Matthew 28, 16 - 20

Details

- For the Ascension, here, it's a descending slope … curious !
- Here, the Holy Ghost is represented in the form of an avalanche (to show the power that nothing can stop) and by the colour of fire in the « BROM BROLO »
- The Word from the Bible is coming out of the frame. So is the rabbit. When we live through the Holy Ghost, we sometimes don't fit in boxes, we're atypical (which does not mean that we are nonsensical or that the Church's rules don't exist anymore …)
- The rabbit is scared in front of that force. Rather than accepting it, he runs away from it, the same way we hide in front of God's greatness.
- Through his words, he's nonetheless decided to receive the Holy Ghost, because he « has not said yes YET » which implies that it will come but he's not quite ready yet.

Questions

- Receiving God in our life is something we prepare for. We wish for it. However we don't wish for Him to upset everything. We would like to keep our marks, our certainties, our quite little life.
- Am I ready to say « Holy Ghost, come through me. Take all that I am. I belong to you. Make me a witness like you want me to be.

Details

- This picture is inspired by the impossible stairs created by Lionel Penrose in 1958
- Four rabbits are forever climbing up
- The blue rabbit, enthusiastic, is counting the stairs. The orange rabbit serenely walks on but looks back. The pink one is starting to get tired and needs the help of his hands. The purple one is sighing, it's starting to be long ...
- These stairs could represent the spiritual life which must never stop. At the beginning we're ardently enthusiastic, we try and evaluate our progress, we count. Then we realise what we've lost by following Jesus. Sometimes with regret or bitterness if we forget to look forward. Then we're starting to struggle. We stick to our humanity, we experience our very down to earth misery. We have the choice to stop or carry on struggling.

Questions

- This picture can also represent how I represent Lent. Never forget that on this picture, all seems to depend on the man's efforts without counting on God's grace.
- What is the proportion between the efforts I make and the grace I'm welcoming (by praying, supplication, listening) ? 50%-50% ? 20%-80% ? 90%-10% ?
- I'll help you, the best solution is 100%-100%. The Virgin Mary tested it first. My turn to follow. Nothing is impossible for God, is it ?

Saint Joseph

Saint Joseph

Romans 4, 16 ... 22
Matthew 1, 16 - 24

Details

- On this picture, there is a contrast between the temple which is imposing and Joseph's house which is very small. Nevertheless, God needs Joseph to be Jesus' adoptive father, to teach him to grow up, to read, to pray.
- If we look carefully, the house, the tree and the rock make us think of the Trinity icon where, above the Father there is the house (heaven), above the Son there is a tree (the Tree of life, the tree of the Cross) and above the Holy Ghost there is the rock (or the wave which leads). This being one og the interpretations and not THE interpretation.
- Still on the picture, we can see that the Temple has one only door whereas Joseph's house has plenty. Where Jesus is, salvation is proposed at the four corners of the world.
- There is only one way that leads to Josep's house. Jesus is the way that leads to the Father's house.
- The rock, on the right of the tree, is shaped like an ear. This is the Holy Ghost listening.

Questions

- In his life, Joseph has constantly been pushed around by the Holy Ghost. Maybe he had planned for a straight well-framed life. Here he is, finding out his fiancée is pregnant, that the child is coming from the Holy Ghost and that God chose him to be his adoptive father. He must flee from Herod who wants to eliminate the child ... His whole life takes a different turn to what he had expected. Yet he keeps trust and staith faithful.
- What about me ? What does Joseph's behaviour tell me about my life ?
